ULAB Sustainable Development Club hosted Seminar on ‘Community Interactive Tourism for Sustainable Development of Rural Areas

ULAB Sustainable Development Club hosted seminar on the topic ‘Community Interactive Tourism for Sustainable Development of Rural Areas’. It was an initiative of DAAHUK- a Community Interactive Tourism Network where the founder of the organization Mr. Magfi Reza Siddique, was present to speak about how to turn Sunamganj to an attractive tourist location by developing a proper plan. Mr. Ehsan, a speaker from BUET accompanied him to help present their cause to the audience. DAAHUK is planning to train the children so that they can interact with tourists in a polite and effective way. They are also trying to conduct a group of students, aged between 20 to 30 years of age to help them operate their activities. The seminar was held on 31.10.2017 at Campus-B Seminar Room. Lecturer & Adviser Mr. Joy Bhowmik, Professor Dr. Ms. Samiya A Selim, Dean of School of Business Mr. Imran Rahman, Research Associate for Center for Enterprise and Society Mr. Adib Sarwar and Assistant Co-Curricular Saad Mohammad Kamal were all present during the semester. The number of audience was around 50 including both students and faculty advisers.

The Universityof Liberal Arts Bangladesh and its curricula are accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh.
