The ULAB Adventure Club, in collaboration with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DEA) Unit at ULAB, has triumphantly completed its first international expedition — a breathtaking trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) in Nepal!

From May 16 to May 19, 2025, a team of spirited trekkers took on the challenge of reaching 4,130 meters above sea level, facing cold temperatures, steep trails, and rugged Himalayan terrain. Guided by resilience and unity, this expedition was a powerful reflection of the DEA’s core values: adventure, personal growth, leadership, and perseverance. More than a physical challenge, this journey was a profound experience of cultural connection, self-discovery, and team spirit. As they navigated Nepal’s stunning landscapes and high-altitude trails, the participants embodied the true spirit of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award — pushing boundaries and embracing the unknown.

The Co-Curricular Office proudly celebrates this remarkable achievement. You’ve not only planted ULAB’s flag high in the Himalayas but also elevated the impact of DEA at our university.

Congratulations to the entire team for setting an inspiring example for future explorers and award participants!
