Nature Narratives: A Creative Exploration of Nature at Bhawal National Park
On January 31, 2026, the ULAB Art & Photography Club organized the Nature Narratives program at Bhawal National Park, Gazipur. This unique event aimed to connect students with the natural world through creative expression, observation, and field-based learning in one of Bangladesh's most ecologically rich and diverse environments.
Bhawal National Park, spanning over 5,000 acres, is renowned for its dense sal forests, abundant wildlife, and vibrant ecosystems.A total of 170 students participated in this engaging experience, eager to connect with nature and express their creativity.The day's activities began with a guided photowalk, where students were led by experienced photographers and naturalists who shared insights into both the technical and artistic aspects of capturing nature through the lens. Participants were encouraged to observe the intricate details of their surroundings whether it was the texture of tree bark, the play of light on the forest floor, or the movement of wildlife and to translate these observations into powerful visual impressions. Photography, as an artistic medium, provided a dynamic way for students to engage with their environment and communicate their personal perspectives of the natural world.
Throughout the day, the program emphasized the importance of creativity, mindfulness, and ecological responsibility.By witnessing the beauty and fragility of nature firsthand, students were encouraged to consider the impact of human activity on the environment and the importance of protecting natural spaces for future generations.
