ULAB Hosts 2019-20 Women's Leadership Program with Global Experts
The World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW) at ULAB successfully recruited members for its 2019-20 leadership program. This international initiative aimed to empower female students by honing their leadership skills and confidence. The program focused on helping participants become confident public speakers, effective team builders, and influential community leaders. Participants were trained to set and achieve goals, resolve conflicts, and engage meaningfully within their communities.
Registration for the program occurred from October 20 to 28, 2019, with booths available at the Lobby of Campus A and the Cafeteria of the Permanent Campus, ULAB. Selection interviews were held from October 30 to November 1, 2019.
ULAB has proudly hosted the Bangladesh Chapter of WAFW since 2018, providing transformative training through international life coaches and mentors. The 2019-20 program featured esteemed facilitators like Leslie Karen Hammond, a personal development expert from the USA; Tess Mosko Scherer, an accomplished artist and life coach; and Alexander Thomas Richmond, a specialist in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Other notable mentors included Alanna Levinson, an expert in leadership development, and Bridget Kelly, a seasoned career counselor.
The program expanded to include students from Daffodil International University, Stamford University, and State University Bangladesh, offering them a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
